today i am grateful for the powerful effect my attitude has on my children, for the wonder of their enthusiasm, for our family commitment to 30 days of positive thinking and talking, for the yarn i bought today so that i can crochet this weekend, for books!, for book stores and the way being around shelf after shelf of books makes me feel, for knowing when to rest and knowing when to push, for there not being anything i have to be doing right now other than this, for dark chocolate, for the sun being out and the cold weather going away, for the incredible effect of listening to nothing but the wind blowing through the quivering aspens, for unmade beds, for clean toilets, for lime green, for Rock Band more than Guitar Hero, for speaking up and then letting go, for chutzpah, the dog days of summer, for taking it all in, for our newly stained deck, for….
