today i am grateful for …

for unexpected kindness, for expected kindness, for fresh homemade food, for the smell of bread baking, for my creativity, for your creativity, for generosity of spirit, for super heroes – both real and pretend, for my daughter’s enthusiasm for beautiful things, for a man who can tie a bow tie, for dressing up, for long beautiful dresses, for high heels, for sexy shoes of any kind, for little black dresses, for cocktail parties, for tasty little things to eat, for feeling tipsy and laughing with friends, for sunday breakfast in bed, for the little voices of children, for my children no longer being in diapers!, for doll houses, for teddy bears, for special things, for the way you love your own pillow above any other, for your smile because even if i’ve never met you your smile makes the world a better place, for kittens, for people who know how to knit, for my mother because she knew how to do everything, for her teaching my to appreciate my creativity by appreciating her own, for summer birthday cupcakes, for….
