today i am grateful for….
For staying in and keeping to myself when I honestly don’t feel like socializing and making nice, for the hour and a half of quiet I was lucky to have this afternoon, for the freedom that quiet gave me to realize my mood of the last two days suggests a need to regroup, for knowing that doing so will be easy now that I know it’s what I need, for the power of knowing myself well enough to meet my own needs, for that coming with age and so, for my age, for the day behind me, the evening ahead and the plans for tomorrow, for doing what i set out to do today – well, some of it – for some of it being just fine thanks, for interesting people, for the possibility of less than interesting people going away, for a friend who is ready to make a big change, for wanting to help her with that as much as I can, for this day, the good the bad and the ugly of it, for tomorrow and what i make of it….

It was an easy day for me too. Love having my kids home with me. Thankful for the nice winter weather yesterday (gasp! Can you believe I said that?!) Also thankful for that ginormous pile of laundry that I got folded and put away!)
