the power of defining a goal

There are a lot of things we want in life. For some it’s money, power, property. For others it’s good relationships, a happy spirit, a healthy lifestyle. For me, it’s all of the above.

The most important part of achieving your goals, whatever they are, is to define them. Once defined a goal has the capacity to inspire feelings of passion and in that passion the universe is set in motion to make your goals a reality. There is no doubt in the power of a mind passionately set on a specified purpose.

“As soon as you truly commit to making something happen, the ‘how’ will reveal itself.” – Tony Robbins

Most people get bogged down in ‘the how’ of a thing rather than allowing it to develop organically. Obsessing over how drains you of the energy you need to maintain a passion for your goals. Without that passion your goals deflate under the weight of trying to predict every step of your eventual outcome. If you think about the achievements you’ve had in the past it is likely you’ll see that you were not aware of exactly how you would get from A to Z before actually make the journey.

Think back to Kindergarten. Did you sit down and map out the steps you would take in learning the alphabet? Did you refuse to take action on that goal before knowing exactly how it would happen? Of course not because that’s not how it’s done. Focusing on ‘how’ really changes your focus to “how not” and once derailed it’s often hard to get back on track.

Let the power of intention guide you toward your destination. Don’t fret about how you’re going to learn the alphabet of your current goals. Rather, allow the energy of your declaration to show you the path to your success. Obsessing about the how is just you getting in your own way.

Define, step aside, let it happen. If it is possible, it is possible for you.
