		<description>You could definitely leave out the mayo without it having much effect on taste. I add it only because I like the way it helps the dressing cling to the lettuce.

Commercial dressings are frightful and I always think that if only people knew how easy it is to make your own the store bought dressing industry would disappear.

The great thing about homemade dressings is that one can really control what goes into them ... and since most commercial brands seem to include high fructose corn syrup and hydrogenated oils ... homemade is definitely healthier!</description>
