featured video: protect your dreams

I once heard a six year old girl say that she was going to move to the west coast and live in a mansion when she grew up.

I thought, yeah, you can do that.

Her mother, however, laughed at her and told her that there was no way that could ever happen.

I was shocked. The mother’s response had nothing to do with the girl or what she could accomplish and had everything to do with her own fears and personal limitations. The best thing we can give a child is belief in the power of possibility, in the power of their own possibility. It is a cruelty with long term effect to steal a person’s dreams from them because you fear you cannot achieve your own.

Mothers and Fathers should encourage their children to dream and DREAM BIG while also giving them the tools to protect those dreams and make them come true.
